{I drive up to the guard shack, stop. Roll down my window and she doesn't open her window or turn around. I wait a minute or two, then figure maybe I pay over at that "Pay here" station. I park, then notice two other cars pull up to the guard shack and the lady talks to them. So I walk over, and ask her if I am supposed to get a ticket from her or something. She looks at me like I've asked her if the sky is blue. Yes, she replies with attitude, you drove the silver car? I nod and she tells me it's four dollars. I only have a twenty. She huffs and puffs and rolls her eyes, You can't give me that, I don't got change! I apologize as she shuffles around in her booth, searching for smaller bills to give me change. It takes a few minutes, and her hatred for me is scathingly apparent, so I explain that I normally don't carry cash and I've just come from the ATM. To this she replies, I don't know why people don't carry cash when they know they's got to pay! I ignore her blatant rudeness and thank her for her help. She tells me to thank Amaco, or whatever her parking company is. By the end of the five minute exchange, though, my kindness has killed her attitude and she calls me "honey." Small victory.}
The meet-up was fun, Alexa is as great in person as she is online, and I got to stuff my face with mayonnaise and fries. Win-win-win.
Today, I took the day off in hopes to be productive. I ended up staying my PJs, on the couch until noon watching The View and putzing around online.
Then I went shopping and spent too much money. The end.
Like I needed another t-shirt. But how cute is this!? I'm a vegetarian, just like the brachiosaurus! I really am talking on the phone, this isn't a pose. Because I was taking a picture and then Mike called. Nothing intersting - but I didn't want you to think I was posing. This is the longest caption ever. /caption
