I Love Winter. {I am not even saying this with clenched teeth!}

Snow Hike.
{Actually, I meant to say I'd write a list about 10 things I love about winter. I must have typed 16 instead, and I'm going with it. Because I can totally think of 16 things, right? Right!}

. Boots – any excuse to wear comfy shoes is wonderful in my book!

. An excuse to hibernate and stay cozy.

. Fires.

. Thawing out after freezing outside. Realizing how happy you are to be inside.

. Cute hats and wool coats.

Thawing Off

. Snow days.

. Sledding and snow hikes and just being outside in the snow.

Friends.

. Sweaters – cozy and an excuse to eat a little more without anyone noticing. Summer and its short sleeve weather is still months away. Winter was made for an extra layer of fat, right?

. Icicles.

Icicles Galore!

. Walking home at night amidst silently falling snow is peaceful and gorgeous.

. Candy Cane Joe Joes from Trader Joes. I love these.

. The Christmas and holiday season – I am a sucker for all the gimmicks- gingerbread lattes, peppermint mochas, Christmas music… {Although, why must it all end after Christmas? Why can't I still belt out, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snoooow" along with the radio?}

. Hot cocoa and other warm beverages.

Ginger Tea

. That triumphant feeling I get after excavating my car from underneath a pile of snow. I feel so badass.

. Frozen waterfalls.

Frozen.

. The slowed pace of winter - snowy streets mean less going out, less running around, and more enjoying your tea and books.

    The excuse to hibernate is definitely my favorite part of winter too. I become such a couch potato and I love it!

    I'm beginning to enjoy winter a LOT more than summer and you've listed quite a few reasons why I'm beginning to love it more! Great pictures!

    Ugh..I wish it was always fall and winter!!! STUPID summer :( I can't think of one thing that makes me happier than of that you listed that happens in summer. My birthday? That's all! I love the Andy picture...hahaha!

    Those pictures are amazing. Like 100 percent amazing. I do bitch a lot about winter but I do like being all bundled up and the smell of snow.

    these pictures are INCREDIBLE!! oh man, this reminds me that i HAVE to take my boys to the snow before it all melts, you really are blessed that you get to experience this season, even if it is PSYCHO cold out! LOL

    I've been loving winter this year much more so than in the past, despite it being so cold that I don't want to leave my house when I get home from work, which makes gym nights a challenge.

    But the snow! So! Pretty!

    I think it's all I've photographed for the last month.

    I have become used to SoCal winters and mostly do not miss cold weather and/or snow. Christmas, however, and now you, sometimes change that. But I'm going biking in the sun now. Peace.

    I am WAY late on the comment love this month-- please forgive! But considering I am super ready for winter to be over, this was a great reminder of why it's not so bad. Plus the pics are awesome!
