That's Who I Am.

I am...

A little wistful that the leaves are falling off before I had time to photograph their beauty.

Learning that growing up is far more complicated than I'd expected and following your dreams isn't so easy.

Anxious about what to do after my position ends in July.

Insanely excited to have a half workday today and be going away for the weekend.

Worried and saddened about all the layoffs that seem to be happening.

Kind of loving my husband's little scruffy beard-thing.

Taking solace during the insanity of election season (which I love but hate) in this.

Planning to vote by mail so as to help keep the lines short for those who can't afford to wait in long lines.

Really selfish sometimes.

Making a felt makeup bag with birds sewed on the front and am kind of obsessed with it.

Kind of in love with this picture from the family summer camping trip:

A little weirded out that a tight-fetish guy has viewed this picture 113 times.

Also kind of in love with this picture: Thinking perhaps I've been too photo-heavy on this blog lately.

Deciding I don't care, I love photos.

Done blathering on.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

  1. Photos are good!

My husband doesn't shave very often, and I love the scruff.

  3. I was hoping someone else would do an "I am" post! They are always a good time.

And for the record, there is no such thing as too many photos. Unless they are of something really boring, like hubcaps. Yeah, that's right, I said "hubcaps". I genuinely couldn't think of anything else boring at the moment.

    Heehee.

  4. Whatever happened to your photography side-blog? Has it gone on hiatus?

Also: I'm still fretting about what to wear to the bachelorette party. We should have words once more regarding this minor predicament.

  8. Oh, Ashley, my 80-something grandfather would probably tell you that growing up is complicated--and that he's still working on it. :)

It's quite the coincidence that at lunchtime today some of the teachers and I were talking about beards and "scruff"!

Oh and I love the fact that you wrote this:

"Planning to vote by mail so as to help keep the lines short for those who can't afford to wait in long lines."

    Sooo sweet of you!

And just the fact that you wrote that means this statement --

    "Really selfish sometimes."

    Just aint true! ;)

Cuz I'm going to be selfish and not vote by mail --I just love the excitement of going down to the poll on election day!

hope you have a wonderful weekend with your boy!
