A Few Confessions Are in Order.

  • Sometimes I see maternity clothes in my size on super-mega-clearance at Target and I'm really tempted to buy them. Like, I have to convince myself not to buy the adorable clothes.
  • I'm addicted to The Biggest Loser - especially Colleen and her father, who are from Highland Hills in the Cleveland area. Represent! (Although, Biggest Loser? Enough with the insultingly overt product placements: "I'd rather have Jello than a banana sundae!" "Mom, Subway is soooo much better than a burger, we should do this more often!" "Let's go! This is the Glad Lock Suck N'Seal Bag Challenge! Woohoo!")
  • I'm going to the Cleveland blogger meet up this Thursday organized by Alexa and I'm kind of nervous. I don't know anyone else going, just Alexa. Going to an event with 18 complete strangers kind of freaks me out a little, and I'd back out if I didn't adore Alexa. Plus, they're just future friends, right?
  • I have been eating completely horrible lately. We're talking apologetically scarfing down cookie dough, baked goods, Fruity Pebbles, lattes, and all kinds of crap. I feel awful about it - and there's actually some evidence, a slight pooch in my tummy. (On the plus side, I've been dragging myself to gym after work a few times to start running again. That whole walking thing was abruptly abandoned once we were graced with hail two weeks ago. Now Oprah and Ellen accompany me on my run-slash-walks.)
  • I'm going to be participating in Blog Secret next week - I'll be writing a blog post about something I wouldn't discuss on here, and be posting someone else's secret on November 18th. Exciting, right? Plus, therapeutic. Who needs a therapist when you have blogging?
  • I won a Starbucks Gold Card through Twitter. That means I get mega discounts at Starbucks. Score. Hellooo peppermint mocha, you are now fully justified. Why am I "confessing" this? Uh, because I was at work when I won. Which meant I was scrambling online to find the Starbucks Trivia. And on Twitter. Blast. I need to stop that. Plus, I sort of didn't even follow the rules correctly to win. Whatever. I HAVE A FREE STARBUCKS GOLD CARD. Woohoo!
  • Have I mentioned I've been eating Fruity Pebbles by the boatload? Well, it bears repeating: I LOVE FRUITY PEBBLES.

  4. You might have to buy some co-workers some Starbucks as reparation for your "sins." Plus it's good for morale. :)

  6. De-lurking to say: 1.I actually bought a tankini from the Liz Lange line at Target. I had it in the dressing room before I noticed and liked it any way. 2. I really love Biggest Loser. I find the stories inspirational even though I am not overweight. 3. It's odd that I am not overweight considering my sweet tooth as of late. Candy Corn damn you!

I really enjoy reading your blog! Have fun at your blogger meet up!

  7. I think I've bought a maternity top or two before without even realizing it. Since tops tight at the top but loose around the stomach are still popular, I can understand how we can make this work. Right?

I'm totally impressed with you winning the Starbucks card! And I cannot wait for BlogSecret.

  8. Fruity Pebbles are gross, yo. If you're going for crappy cereal, hit up the Cocoa Puffs all the way!

  9. How do I not know what a Starbucks gold card is? I live in Starbucks! Maybe it's a USA Starbucks thing that we don't have in the UK?

  13. Look at you, all active in the blogosphere! Though, I must admit, as much "fun" as BlogSecret will be, I think blogger meet-ups are way more fun. Think about it this way ... either you'll walk away with a bunch of new friends OR fodder for some great blog posts about the freaks you just met OR both! =)

  14. AHHH. I LOVE the maternity clothes at Target! They're often cuter than the regular clothes. I am ALWAYS tempted to just buy them... even Jonathan prefers them to the regular clothes. Sigh. That would be the only reason why I would want to be pregnant...

& I totally have a pooch too... I don't know where it's coming from, but you're in good company.

  17. I have the same urges to buy the super cheap, super cute clearance maternity clothes but I think my husband might divorce me :) Oh, and we're Biggest Loser fans too and can I just say how much I despise Vicki and Heba? ARGHH!!

  18. OK, I really want some fruity pebbles now! I guess I'm going to have to settle for ice cream!

  19. First and foremost, HOW did you win this so called Starbucks card?? Hmm? Please tell me.

Second, I'm going to do the BlogSecret now too, thanks to you! :D This should be funnnnn.

  20. Have fun at the blogger meet-up! We have them here in Pittsburgh every few months and they're always a good time (though I totally understand being nervous). And I could so go for a Peppermint Mocha right now.

  21. Those Target maternity clothes ARE cute!

And I think it's super adorable you love fruity pebbles ... embrace the "kid" cereal! John's fav cereals are fruity pebbles and capt. crunch. I like lucky charms and cinnamon toast crunch. yummm!

  22. Yeah, so I totally bought a clearance maternity sweater today. But it doesn't look maternity, I swear! I just need to cut out the tags now, so Jay doesn't freak out when he sees them...silly Target and their adorable clothes...

And, wow...I've been eating worse than ever and have no idea how I haven't gained any weight. I kind of miss running, and need to get back into it! Inspire me, lady! :)

Ooooh. Love the blog secret idea. Hmmm.
