Great, Now I Look Like My Mom.

Say goodbye to medium brown with a sligh redish tint hair...

I set out last night to dye my hair dark brown - a shade closer to my eyebrows (and natural hair color). I left it in 5 minutes too long (oops) and used the entire bottle on my now-shorter hair (double oops). The result? Nearly black hair, just like my mother (who is so cheap she buys hair dye meant for African American women when it goes on clearance. She's hilarious.)

Um. At least it matches my eyebrows?

And, I'm off for a stupid conference enjoying some time with wonderful college students. At least I get to drive a rented minivan. Have I mentioned how much I adore driving minivans? I'm seriously my mother.

  8. The dark hair looks greats. Don't worry. It will a fade a little and you will get much more used to it! I did the same thing last year this time.

  10. Work that dark hair, girlie! I think it looks great with your pretty skin! And yes, dark hair is really nice for the winter! I wish I could go darker for the winter but after dying my hair so often in HS/beg college, I'm going to stick with the blond for a bit.

Hope you have a good time at the conference!

  11. I like it!

Isn't it scary when you look in the mirror and see your mother? Luckily for me, my mom looked younger than her age well into her forties... I'm hoping the same will happen for me.

  13. IIRC your mom's a lovely, young looking thing-it doesn't seem like a bad thing to look like her! I think the color's pretty.

Darker hair makes my skin look clearer/brighter, and I've been contemplating going that way, too.

And I love how you're excited for the minivan. I'd have a stroke if I had to be the driver. I'm used to my little nugget of a car.
