Worth it Wednesday: Planet Blush.

I was never big into make-up in high school or college. (And by that, I mean: I rarely wore more than mascara and some lip balm.) So, when I entered the working world and needed to look a little more polished, professional, just older - I was at a loss. I'm still pretty lost when I'm in Sephora, but I have figured out one thing: a blush that rocks.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA PLANET BLUSH

Worth: Around $10 or $11 at Target. (Currently $10.95 on Physician Formula's website.)

Works For: Blush, bronzer, and a little bit of shimmer.

What I Love:
  • It has two sides: an iridescent highlighter on one side and a matte blush on the other side.
  • It's a fabulous blush-slash-bronzer. Period - the color, the texture, everything.
  • It looks natural - even on my sickly pale skin.
  • I love the set up. Super cute and functional.
What I Wish: It has some stuff that isn't so good for a green girl like myself. Namely, parabens. Oh, and talc. Apparently that's bad? Gah. It's hard to be pretty and an environmentalist. (Although, it IS fragrance-free. That means something, right?)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Thank you SO much for all your kind words about my Etsy products on Monday. I want to hug all of you for your encouragement and for even ORDERING things from me! Seriously. Thank you. You mean so much to me.

  3. You read Arduous don't you? I can't specifically think of you mentioning her off hand, but I feel as though you have. Well, either way, she had a good little post about being an environmental girly-girl the other day...and a lot of the comments were great too!

In case you don't read her already, here's the link:

I'm not a huge girly-girl and have never been much into make-up either. But I do like to wear it occasionally, and have become a big fan of the physician's formula organic wear line really recently! They've got something similar to this powder(though not in the cute bubble, but in a cute "green looking" container) in the organic line-- and it's completely paraben free, synthetic preservative free, fragrance free... (other "frees" of which I can't think right now) and priced comprably to all their other products.

  6. Oh very cool! I need to find one of those!

I think I've decided to stay pale all year round for one year in an attempt to never age - so the bronzer would be a good thing.

    Thanks for the find!

  8. It sounds as though you have found the perfect thing for you! I hope they don't do what a perfume company did to me and remove it from sale just as I found the perfect scent (Tuscany per Donna in case anyone is interested!)
