Taking Five Minutes Away From the Beach...

We walked down to the beach last night with Mike's four-year-old niece and five-year-old nephew. The four-year-old couldn't contain herself and threw her arms wide and shouted, in her wee little voice, "I LOVE THE BEACH!"

Vacation is a glorious, glorious thing. Particularly when the internet isn't involved (no offense, internet, but sometimes I can be a little too addicted to you.) I'm feeding my Jodi Picoult addiction, playing with kids, walking on the beach, frolicking in the ocean, and enjoying a Project Runway marathon.

Oh. And catching some rays. I'm not one to bare my body to the internet, but I just HAD to show you this:

"I only wear sunscreen on my face and shoulders," I told everyone,

"I don't really burn."

Um, right.

  2. OUCH! I hope you have some aloe! Also, aspirin can help with the inflammation, redness, and soreness too.

  5. Lots of Aloe! lots and lots of it! Ouchie! :( What I'd give for some sun right now, though. It's raining and cold where I am (i.e winter in the Southern hemisphere!)

Btw, side bar, am envious of your flat belly.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your summer! :)

  6. Ouch! I swear, Myrtle Beach is the worst for getting burnt! For some reason, I always get burnt the worst when there.

  7. hubs says a base tan provides sun protection equivalent to SPF 3. One of the only interesting things he's told me since entering medical school.
