July is the Funnest Month EVER!

July Corniess.

I like to set goals. It's part of the list thing, I think. Somehow, it is already July and I'm sort of freaking out about it. Summer needs to last as LONG as possible.

To make the most out of this month - a month in which I'll be job-free for three! entire! weeks!, moving, and generally just sucking out every drop of summeriness from it I can - I decided to make some goals for this summer. Nothing related to work, or productivity, or even fun work (where I just made my 100th sale. Hurrah!)

Here goes!

The List O' Fun and Awesome Things for the Summery Month of July:
  • Go to the farmers market.
  • Try two new restaurants.
  • Get my nose pierced. Pray it doesn't hurt too badly.
  • Go berry picking.
  • Pack, move, unpack. Make new place pretty.
  • Sit on new front porch with lemonade or iced tea. Repeat.
  • Read two books.
  • Run twice a week.
  • Run my first 10K. Pray it doesn't hurt too badly.
  • Go on a road trip with Mike. Finally visit Asheville!
  • Go backpacking. Avoid bears.
  • Hang out with Megan & TJ.
  • Cook and bake often. Get fat.
  • Blog about five different environmental tips/stories.
  • Write a letter to someone.
  • Go for a bike ride. Or several.
Our July is going to rock the pants off every other month.

What? It's not weird to say if it's true.

  1. This sounds lovely! I have just discovered that there's a farmers' market just down the street from us every Monday. I am totally going there next Monday. I'm very excited.

  2. Aw, I love this idea! I agree: July needs to be the longest month in all of humanity. Because this year is already flying by.

Also, I want to get my nose pierced this summer, too! Eeee! I'm freaking out a little. I wish I knew someone else around these parts who would go with me and get it done, too. Feel like making a trip to Cali? I will feed you and we may or may not snuggle.

    :)

  7. Yay! Sounds fun. Asheville, Ohio? My family has a reunion there every year in August. My great-grandmother had 16 kids and lots of her descendants come back to see each other. I hardly know anyone, but it's cool.

  9. What a fun list! About your idea of blogging about eco-friendly tips, you might get some inspiration from this book that I read recently: http://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-Naked-Green-Eco-Cynic-Unplugged/dp/0547073283 It's pretty fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Have fun with your July goals! :)

  12. I definitely like the goal to hang out with Megan and TJ part. I may be a bit biased though :)

There will be a Farmer's Market in Kent on Saturday when you are here. You should make a detour to run past it. Then you can buy delicious blackberries sold by the Amish farmers. Yumm.

My nose has been pierced for - oh wow, this is a long time - 12 years now. I love it. It's pretty fast & easy, not too painful. Good luck - post pictures!
